City Youth Council of Toronto empowers youth to influence public policy. They have representatives from Toronto’s 44 wards, working to facilitate community development and learn about municipal government.
On Saturday, August 25th, they’re hosting Passport to Change. It’s an event designed to give interested young people all the info they need about becoming a Youth Councillor. If you love politics and are passionate about social change, this could be a great opportunity for you.
If you’re not interested in running for elections, you can also learn about the other ways to get involved in Youth Council.
The event features food, door prizes (gift cards to the Eaton Centre and iTunes), special guests, and the launch of CYC’s new Facebook app!
